Fizzarolli-Themed Hamilton Cabinet

External Paint with Spray Seal

At the end of 2019, my mom had found a large 2-tier steel cabinet for $50. Looking up the Hamilton Cabinet, these go for at least over a thousand dollars, so it was a huge bargain find. Mom told me to keep it for the rest of my life.

Fast-forward to 2023, after years of contemplating to repaint the cabinet, I finally made it happen after I committed to make it Fizzarolli-themed. It had been repainted prior to resale with a warm grey-ish paint that was already peeling off on the sides and exposed some rust, so I had to remove the original paint job first and scrape what was left. Although it took more than half of my project days because I had to strip both the shell and the heavy drawers, the process was pretty straightforward to follow. Once that was done, I then removed the small bits of rust that were on the cabinet sides.

Once again to emphasize: There are MANY drawers! So when I began the repainting process, I started off with the drawers by spraying 2-3 coats of white prime paint spray. After I approved my concept designs for each drawer, then I painted them on all ten of them. Because the cabinet is in two segments, half the drawers are based off of his main attire, and then the 2nd half was based off of his greed ring outfit in the season 2 episode Oops. After painting, I then gave the drawers a few layers of sealing spray. I later moved them all back into my office so I could then paint the outer shells teal. The shells did not get any seal coating.
