Apart from falling in love with Fizzarolli, one other major contribution that helped me find my stride in drawing again was HumanLight; a humanist holiday which had turned 20 years old the same year I made this piece. I began celebrating the holiday in 2020. The one thing I wanted to do that I didn't do before was make fanart, so I drew Ethylynn celebrating HumanLight.
Among the holiday imagery is the candles to the left, which are a staple to HumanLight. The represent humanist values of reason, compassion, and hope. I also had Ethyl's cookies holiday-themed by using a primary color scheme for the icing and using shapes like suns, stars, snowflakes, and people. Ethylynn is also wearing a sun crown, which I came up with as an idea for a holiday accessory. Another tradition of mine is baking a lemon blueberry bundt cake.
I maaaay have also inserted B-52's reference in the background.
